Sick Child Return to School Information: November 2020 If your child misses a day or more of school: The parent/ guardian must write a note to the Principal explaining the reason for the student absence. If the absence is not health related, please be specific. All health related absences will be investigated by your school nursing team prior to readmission back to class. Please note, teachers are sending any student that has missed a day of school to the office/ and or the nursing clinic for readmission permission. If you keep your child home from school with a symptom; any symptom that is considered a COVID-19 symptom, you must keep the student and all other CHISD siblings home as well. You will have to call your nurse clinic to set a Re-Entry to campus day OR you may opt to get Medical clearance, which can allow for early Re-Entry back to school (Texas Education Agency and Department of State Health Services). ***TEA link with COVID 19 symptoms listed as well as this protocol of Re-Entry located on our Health Services CHISD homepage- COVID 19 Elementary Nurse Clinic 552-3423 Middle School/ High School Nurse Clinic 552-3448 Spanish translation: Si su hijo falta un día o más a la escuela: El padre / guardián debe escribir una nota al director o a la directora explicando el motivo de la ausencia del estudiante. Si la ausencia no se relaciona a la salud, por favor díganos específicamente por qué falto.
